As soon as the laminaria digitata algae powder is mixed with water, the solution reacts by heating up. With the help of magnesium oxide, the mask preparation heats up perceptibly after just a few minutes, "forming bubbles". Under the influence of this heat, the wellness treatment has a particularly relaxing character. At the same time, the active substances provided by the algae extracts are absorbed particularly well by the heated areas of skin.

A few facts about algae
Laminaria digitata (oarweed) belongs to the family of brown algae. Above all, they flourish in deep areas of sea with moderate currents and temperatures. They are also found off the coast of Brittany, where they form entire "forests" on the ocean floor with their strap-shaped fronds. Harvesting is carried out from ships on the open sea, and takes place each year between May and September.
Even in its micropulverized form, laminaria digitata is particularly rich in minerals, trace elements and vitamins. Above all, it has a very high iodine and magnesium content, which far exceeds that of various types of vegetable. If the skin is supplied with these diverse active substances, it undergoes optimal regeneration: The metabolism is stimulated, thereby undergoing water and waste product removal.

Application
For partial body treatment, mix approx. 250 g powder with 300 ml water to form a smooth paste (accordingly more for a full body treatment). Wrap the body in film and allow the customer to rest under the thermal blanket in this way. Allow to work in for approx. 20 minutes, then wash off.
